Beauty. Grace. Intelligence. Versatility.
These are some of the words used to describe the Arabian Horse. There is nothing as awe-inspiring as watching an Arabian gallop across an open field – tail and head high, mane flowing, nostrils flaring. Suddenly you realize he is running to you – his human. As he approaches, you marvel at his large, expressive eyes and rippling muscles. He comes to you, and you laugh as he nuzzles you and feel his warm breath on your cheek. Then he is off once more, to run free. But you know he loves you.

These qualities of the Arabian horse have been enjoyed since the desert Bedouins, originally treasured as war mounts due to the Arabians large lung capacity and endurance. Today, the Arabian excels in all disciplines, from trail and endurance riding to english and western pleasure, working western, reining and sport horse to mention a few.

The Arabian Horse Club of Connecticut (AHCC) is comprised of children and adults who all have one thing in common – to enjoy, promote and love the Arabian Horse. We are looking forward to a successful year for 2007 and feel this year will be special for several reasons:

We encourage involvement, and look forward to any new ideas you may have. Our club offers many activities, ranging from beach and trail rides, to tournament and class "A” shows.
