Secretary: Terry Henning
Proudly serving a second term on the Board of Directors, as Club secretary and membership chairperson, I look forward to another exciting year with AHCC. I personally own three horses, two of which are Arabians, and have a small farm in Moodus, CT. My interests are as varied as our beloved breed is versatile. I enjoy trail riding, showing, games, and recreational riding, and am thrilled to be part of an organization dedicated to providing an opportunity for all of those things.

When I am not with my dogs and my horses Woody, my Appy and Freedom my Arab I work as an x-ray tech and clinician in an orthopedic office. I'm relatively new to the Arab world, about 5 years. I have a 5 year old gelding, Enduring Freedom whom I started myself. I have done a couple A shows in halter and sport horse. While I like helping out at the shows and supporting my friends, I am a basic back yard horse owner. I am doing Parelli Natural Horse*man*ship and am currently working on Level 2 groundwork. I love how it brings out the play in Freedom and allows him to use his wonderful Arabian intelligence! I am looking forward to learning a lot by sitting on the board and hopefully encouraging other backyard owners to enjoy being members of the AHCC.

Dee Bowen (Regular Shows, Regular and Regional Points, Futurities)
Hi, I’ve been a lifetime horse lover. I am enjoying my time involved in the AHCC, being on the BOD, and spending time with peers who enjoy their Arabians. I especially enjoy volunteering at the schooling shows, nothing like seeing a child get their first ribbon! My Purebred Gelding, Roswell, is an absolute joy to be around and ride. We recently started showing again, and starting to plan for next year, we’re having so much fun! I also have a Half Arabian Mare, Legasea, who recently turned 26. You may see her again at the beach ride! And of course her loyal companion Pistol~Packing~Pete, the mini, we’ll leave him home! My family and I also have two mixed breed dogs, Alaska, and Tiger, and two cats, Hootie and Beauty.

An AHCC member, and professional horseperson for over 25 years, I have watched our club have a positive influence on the Arabian breed in New England. Since obtaining my B.S. in Equestian Science, from William Woods College, I have been training, instructing, and boarding, specializing in Arabians. Currently my husband Jack and I are raising our two wonderful children, Amanda and Travis, and building our business, Baldwin Stables, in Deep River, CT. I look forward to many more years of promoting our breed and being an active member of AHCC.
