The Arabian Horse Club of Connecticut (AHCC) was formed more than 40 years ago and is the largest recognized Arabian club in Connecticut! The AHCC was developed to help promote, encourage, and stimulate interest in the outstanding qualities of the Arabian and Half-Arabian horse, and to have fun. To be a member of the AHCC you don't have to own or show an Arabian or Half-Arabian, you just have to love the breed.
Members of the AHCC are involved in many activities that help them develop their particular interests and gain a better understanding and appreciation of the breed they have come to love. No matter what your interest, whether it be the show ring, out on the trails, breeding, or you just like the Arabian horse, the AHCC tries to provide something for everyone!
The AHCC's parent organization is the Arabian Horse Association (AHA). The AHCC offers several memberships to choose from. Some are affiliated with AHA, and offer you all of the benefits of both AHA and the AHCC. You can also join only the AHCC. Membership in the AHCC is open to anyone having an appreciation and desire to know more about the breed. Decide which membership will meet your specific needs.
The AHCC offers the schooling show series for everyone, from seasoned professionals who want to get their horses into a trailer, show at a different place, have less pressure as there is a rule of no show clothes. We also offer classes for the green horse, anyone new to showing horses and everything in between.
Every year we also offer a Class A show which includes Dressage. This show is held yearly at the Eastern States Exposition. Other fun things the club offers for their members are clinics, beach rides, trail rides, monthly newsletter and monthly meetings as well as an annual awards banquet!
